Surgery
Well last Thursday we decided it was time to go ahead and schedule my laproscopy surgery. Little did we know they could get me in as early as this past Monday! So Monday I went in, had the lap surgery done and spent the next two days at home recovering. I’m back at work today, but sore and tired so Ryan is going to pick me up early so I can go home and get a little rest before the girls get home. Tomorrow Megan has her class field trip, so I have to be completely prepared to be on my feet all day. Wish me luck and no more soreness, please! The results were that I had no endometriosis, but they did drain a cyst. The doc will see me again in 2 weeks to discuss seeing a urologist for a disease called interstitial cystitis since the symptoms are relative to endo. Fun! Not! lol. Recovery hasn’t been too bad and Ryan has been a completely wonderful husband and father through all of this! I got lucky having him by my side.
Kylie lost a tooth Tuesday night (4/28). A top tooth, so now she looks a little toothless and cute!!! And of course the tooth fairy came to visit her that night, which excited her.
The girls get to visit PoPo and MoMo Taft after swimming lessons on Saturday so hopefully I can get some rest and some other things done and Ryan gets the job of mowing AND hopefully…….working on our bathroom, hee hee. I can sense his excitement in doing this project.

Well, it started out to be hilarious
but didn’t end that way! Last night after the girls went to bed, I decided to take a nice long hot bath. It had been awhile since I had done that and I was feeling edgy. While I was taking a bath, Ryan decided to install the new plumbing trim kits I got for the shower and tub. He installed the shower one, but broke a piece of the pipe….so that has to be fixed, lol. Then after I got out of the bath, he decided to do the tub one. He took off the handles and all of a sudden water started spraying everywhere. The ceiling, the floor, all over us. Ryan had his hand over the handle and I was trying to figure out what to do. He had me go downstairs and shut of the main water valve. It really was hilarous, despite the fact that I can’t describe it in that fashion. So then he tried to fix the knob and pieces had flown everywhere so we were trying to find them. After several (and I do mean several) attempts to fix the handle so the water would shut off without having the main water valve off, we couldn’t figure it out. I had to go up and down the stairs so many times to shut off the valve. My legs were tired! The positive look on it is that I got a workout from it, lol. Finally about 9:30 or so we got the handles fixed and we were able to retire for an hour to catch up on “24″. Despite all of our long hard work, which was quite comical and always seems to be that way for us when doing projects, the tub trim kit wouldn’t work and so I’m on the hunt for a new one. LOL.

A vist to the Horvath’s and house update
Well on Thursday night I finished getting all that wallpaper border down in the master bath! Woohoo!!!! I was so super excited. Soon Ryan said he’s start mudding, I can’t wait!!! Super excited.
We went to visit the Horvath family this past weekend. Ethan had his birthday party at Bounce U. It was a lot of fun, as it has been in the past. It was a great weekend. We got to spend time with our friends. The girls were fairly good the entire time, lol. AND Ryan and I got to kick around the soccer ball – just goofing off and actually got some exercise out of it. ROFL.

Spring mowing and gardening
I hate to admit it but the mowing has begun! Saturday we mowed the yard for the first time this season. We possibly could have waited another week, but there are those few choice areas that get very thick quick, so we went ahead and did it.
We also worked on the garden a bit, despite the rain showers yesterday. We (well, Ryan did, lol) tilled up the garden. Then we went into town and got more dirt and seeds for the garden. Between rain showers we emptied the bags of dirt we bought and planned out how we were going to do the garden this year. It snowed last night and since we knew it was supposed to we didn’t plant anything yesterday.

Kylie got her ears pierced
Friday after Kylie’s doctors appointment, we took her to get her ears pierced. She was so excited! She sat up in the chair and seemed like she was going to freak out and we told her to be brave and she did. The only thing she did was kind of squish up her body and say OUCH! and that was it. No crying, no whining. She didn’t seem as excited after getting them done, but I know she will be as it sinks in.

Mommy, I want my ears pierced
Ryan and I went to pick the girls up from daycare last night and Kylie greeted us at the door. She immediately said, “mommy, I want to get my ears pierced now!”. Um, ok. She’s been so adamant about NOT getting it done and no matter how much I’ve tried to convince her she’d say no. She’s obviously changed her mind. I am SO excited!!! I can’t wait to see her get them done this weekend.
