My, how they grow up
Kylie had a baseball game last night. She has not really been excited about baseball until recently. She started liking the practices, but not the games. Last night was the first time I really saw her excited about the game. I think the whole issue was just not feeling comfortable about her abilities to do well. She’s finally feeling comfortable with the game. It is great to see her excited, happy and more confident in what she is doing. She’s improved so much with Ryan’s help. I absolutely love watching him teach her how to do things like his dad taught him. What a great feeling! She has a make-up game tonight so hopefully she’ll be just as excited then.
Megan is really starting to grow up, slowly but surely. I’ve noticed a change in her since school started. She is more talkative, singing more, saying rhymes, etc, etc. It’s great. I looked over at her last night at Kylie’s game. She was talking to a little boy she met at the game. I looked over and she just looked older than what she normally acts. She’s also gaining weight, which makes me feel so much better. I weighed her last week and she weighed 29.2 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We may just get to 30 by Christmas, which was my goal.
They are growing fast. They are growing right before my eyes and I can’t stop it. They aren’t my babies anymore. Before long they won’t be my little girls, either. sigh.

Da-da and more
I absolutely can’t get enough of hearing Megan call Ryan “Da-da”. She still does it like she just learned how to talk, kwim? Kylie use to call him that too, but usually they grow more towards “dad” or “daddy” once their language develops more. Not with Megan, it’s still “da-da……look!” etc etc. I seriously can sit there for 24 hours straight hearing her call him that. It’s beyond adorable.
Just like Jim & Jen are called “JimJen” by Megan. I think they will forever have to be called that because it’s the cutest thing ever.
I also like how she says “surprise” – she says “be-prise”. I’ll ask her what she did in school and she’ll say “I can’t tell you, it’s a be-prise”. ROFL.
Here’s the more I was referring to in my title……
Last night was such a fun night. I usually have a killer headache and so tired that I don’t enjoy the girls like I should. Well, last night Ryan was mowing and the girls wanted to play outside since the weather was beautiful. They wanted to play hopscotch. Megan wanted me to draw her one, while Kylie was drawing her own. After that we decided to draw on the concrete area in front of the garage – pictures of cats, witches, trees, names, etc, etc. Silly me decided that we should lay on the ground and trace our bodies. ROFL. So Megan layed down and I traced her. Kylie layed down and I traced her. THEN mommy had to lay down so the girls could trace me. ROFL. This went on for a bit. The concrete area in front of the garage looks like an alien murder scene. ROFL. This morning Ryan said “you do realize that is what it looks like when cops find a dead body and tape the location of it, right?” ROFL. I said “yes, looks like we have a murder scene of dead aliens”. Ha ha. It was a fun evening for sure! Wish daddy didn’t have to mow – we could have traced him too! LOL.

What do you want to be for Halloween?
It seems early, but trying to find costumes the girls want can take time. This year I asked early. Megan has decided she wants to be Tinkerbell and Kylie wants to be Stephanie from Lazy Town. I can see why Tinkerbell, but I can’t understand the Stephanie thing. ROFL. Oh well.
So I got Megan the exact Tinkerbell costume she wanted. I just have to get the accessories for it, which in my opinion costs just as much as the costume. Kylie’s costume is much cheaper than her sisters will end up being. Go figure.
Every year I say I want Ryan and I to dress up. One year we did. Another year we bought costumes, but chickened out (well I did, Ryan just decided it was lame, lol) and didn’t wear them. Last year we looked and looked and looked, but didn’t settle on anything. Again, this year I’d love to do it, but I’m sure I won’t end up dressing up. I like dressing up as a “couple” type costumes, but I know Ryan wouldn’t like to be some of the ones I, as a girl, would like. For instance, I think it would be fun to dress up as Minnie Mouse or Dorothy from Oz, but I know he would never dress up as Mickey Mouse, lol, or one of the other Oz characters. Actually I’m not quite sure I could picture my husband as Mickey Mouse, lol. Sorry honey. I am not making fun of you, I promise. I love you, sweetie.
Halloween always sneaks up on is and I’m sure it will do the same this way.

Finally, some answers come our way
For years I have been tired. So tired that I just can’t feel like I can function. We tried doctor after doctor trying to figure out why I was so tired ALL the time, why I had joint pain, the severe migraines, the weight gain, the frustration/stress, etc, etc, etc. Each doctor was willing to give me a pill to cure my “issues” but none of them worked and the ones I didn’t try were because the side effects were too much to deal.
A past co-worker of my, God love her, tried convincing me for the past year to go to a compounding pharmacist to do saliva testing and see what was going on in my body. I just wasn’t convinced it would work, although she and many others had excellent results from doing this. This last doctors visit, when I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, broke the camels back. The med the doc wanted to give me had extreme side effects, ones I wasn’t willing to live with, so I called the pharmacist and set up a time to do the saliva testing. Well, we got the results back and they proved so much we already knew, but didn’t know how to deal with it. Dave (the pharmacist) showed us the results and explained that I am in extreme adrenal fatigue or what some refer to as adrenal failure. He didn’t like to use that word and it sort of scares me to use it, too, lol. My hormone levels were way off, not where they should be, as well.
Dave gave us hope. More hope that I ever thought we’d ever get since many doctors pretty much wrote me off as looney. I am two days into a natural vitamin therapy approach to get my cortisol levels to a functioning level so I can survive day-to-day activities. He said I should start seeing results in 7 to 10 days. Right now he is working on my adrenals and preventing migraines. Later he plans to start working on my hormones, but we can’t do that until I see my gynecologist regarding the pill she has me on. He gave us so much promise – won’t be tired 24/7, might see results in why I’m not loosing and just gaining, moods, migraines, etc, etc, etc. Oh, I pray that he is right. That this works. I just don’t think I can take another day living the way my body was forcing me to live before. What is so great about this is it is an all natural approach. No drugs. No chemicals in my body.
Crossing my fingers that in 7 to 10 days I’ll be able to post that I’m feeling more energetic!

DaDa…ants
Kylie got an ant farm for her birthday from her cousin Kirsten. She was so excited to get it and even more so to receive the ants. So I sent the money in immediately to get the ants and they finally came Monday night. We put them in the ant farm and let them be for the night.
We had read that you are supposed to dispose of the dead ants, that it’s a “nice” thing to do that so I told Dh to grab the ant farm and we’d get them out. I was really thinking he’d do it, lol, but then I got curious and decided to do it myself. Well the ones still alive are fast little suckers. Two got out and it was all down hill from there. I just felt all creepy crawly after that. I ended up going to bed feeling like ants were crawling all over me. ICK!!!
I’m ok with ants out in their environment, but seeing them crawling around in that little aquarium-like environment really gave me the willies.
P.S. I choose that title mainly because my honey keep saying “did the “da-dants” come in the mail today?” or he’d say “the da-dants are dead”. I know, you may not find that humerous, but the way he would say it to me got a chuckle out of me. Some days that’s hard to do, lol.

Megan and gymnastics
Megan started gymnastics at Midstate last Monday. She’s so cute and even though she’s not for sure if she’s enjoying it or not, I am. I love watching her do all the things she’s doing. I really hope she goes further with it. My little teeny tiny gymnast.

Not sure I want to do that again!
I didn’t write about this yesterday because I felt like I was still recovering. Ha ha. Kylie had her classmate birthday party on Sunday. It was supposed to be a pool party, but because of the very chilly temps and the rain we had to have it indoors. I thought it was complete chaos with 13 kids, LOUD kids, but Ryan thought it went well and all the kids seemed to have really enjoyed themselves. We played Hullabaloo, jumped in the bounce house, painted a suncatcher, decorated cupcakes, and played with all the toys in our house. LOL.
I think next year, if it has to be an indoor party, it will be somewhere besides my home. ROFL.

Our baby turns 6!!!
I can’t believe Kylie is 6. I can, but at the same time I can’t. LOL. We had a wedding to attend last night and the girls and I were so excited that we were gonna get to dance. Megan said she was going to shake her booty like a fish. ROFL. Well, we didn’t get to dance. Kylie came down with a fever at the reception, before the dancing, and so we left. No biggie, but I felt awful for her being sick on her birthday
She kind of sat around most of her birthday, but by 1 pm she was feeling a bit better and wanting to go have a picnic in the park and play. So we did that. Later that evening we had a few errands to run and went out to dinner.
A very peaceful 6th birthday for our baby girl. She got all her excitement at her family birthday party and will get more at her classmate party, though.

Second tooth
I almost forgot! Kylie lost another tooth. Her second one. It’s funny because she lost it on my birthday and it was at the baby shower. Ha ha. Ok, here’s the bad mommy moment. The tooth fairy was supposed to visit her that night (Sunday night). Well…….(cringing here) the tooth fairy was so exhausted from the party and such that she forgot to visit that night. Heck, she forgot to take her BC pill that night. Ha ha. Kylie was so disappointed when she woke up Monday morning and I just wanted to kick myself in the head for forgetting to do my job. We smoothed it over and told her the TF must have been busy and maybe she didn’t see her toothbox since it was up on the dresser, not next to her bed on the nightstand. The TF made it there the next night, though, and all was good. Gosh, I still feel like a terrible mommy, though.

Party update and more
Kylie’s birthday party went great. It was on Saturday, August 30. We had a wonderful family/friend turnout. Food was great. The kids had tons of fun in the pool as well as on the girl’s new bounce house. It was just a great evening – we even had beautiful weather. I didn’t get to converse with everyone I wanted to and some for only a few minutes at a time, but it was nice to talk with friends and family. You know, when you are entertaining it’s hard to mingle around and you sometimes feel you neglect a lot of your company. I know that everyone understands, though.
Sunday was my birthday. Despite the fact that we had a baby shower to go to right in the middle of the day, I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday. I got to spend it with Ryan and the girls and that was the greatest thing ever – REALLY. Ryan got me a gorgeous watch. I’ve been wanting one for some time and he did an awesome job picking out the best one. I love him for that
The girls got me aqua globes. If you don’t know what those are you need to watch more infomercials! LOL! Kylie saw them on an infomercial (she basically is an infomercial – that silly girl) and mentioned them to me. So when I saw the infomercial I knew I had to have them. Ryan saw them at Walgreens and bought them. Soooooo, I hopefully won’t have to water my plants for 2 weeks at a time. ROFL! Of course I never do anyways (yes honey, I know that’s what you are saying right now, lol). I hope they work. We’ll see. They also took me out to my favorite Italian restaurant, Saputo’s. Ryan was so great to brave the fancier restaurant with two loud girls. Ha ha. It was a great evening.
On Monday my parents wanted to take us all to the water park. Ryan and I wasn’t exactly thrilled about going since it was so hot and we were exhausted from the weekend, but we bucked it up and went. It turned out to be a lot of fun, the girls had a blast and it was just a great day all and all. I don’t regret going one bit.
Kylie and Megan started school this week on regular schedule. In August they went until 2:10 p.m. every day, but now they go until 3:10 p.m. Both have fallen asleep early since starting back this week, with the longer schedule.
Oh, one funny. We went to the video store on Monday to get the girls movies (or was it Sunday, oh I don’t remember) and I saw a Smurfs dvd so I grabbed it for the girls. It turns out that is the ONLY one they will watch now. They love the Smurfs!!!! How cute.
