Well, I know we said we would never get another cat. When Cinderella had to be put to sleep we decided we were content with just Smokey and that would be that. Things change. Ryan’s mom, Karen, asked us if we’d take in her cat, Rambo, because the neighbors were threatening to dispose of it as it apparently was being the neighborhood menace. Karen didn’t think he was, obviously. So we decided to take him in.
Rambo is a beautiful cat. He looks very siamese-ish, but we are not sure if he is full bred siamese or not. He has his claws, which concerns me a little bit, but as long as he leaves my furniture and belongings unharmed I can handle it. Ha ha. We acquired him on Saturday and so he’s still trying to get acclimated to his new surroundings. Smokey isn’t too thrilled with him, but I hope in time they become good friends. Rambo is an outdoor/indoor cat, as is Smokey, so I think they will have fun hunting together in the woods.
The girls are so funny when it comes to Rambo. First they have several names for him besides his real name. He’s “Rainbow” in Megan’s mind. She just can’t quite get out Rambo. They also call him “Kitty Bam”, which I believe Karen called him that as well.
In all we are having fun with our new addition and hopefully he warms up to us soon. Oh! One draw back about Kitty Bam. He is a long-haired cat like Cindy was so I hope he doesn’t shed everywhere. Another is he eats soft food. Ah well – he’ll be fun anyways!
